Default LED's for V50 / S40, Canbus on which lighting circuits???

Hey everyone,
do you know which bulb circuits are attached to the Canbus "bulb out" system?

Is there a guide or more of a try it and see approach?
All I know so far is that the white side-lights are Canbus free (501's).

Would it be a reasonable assumption to think that all caplet (Wedge/W5W) type bulbs are canbus free circuits?

Front Canbus?? Bulb
------------------------------------------------
Main Beam ? HB3/9005
Dipped Beam YES H7
Side-lights (white) NO 501
Fog lights ? H11
Front Indicator ? 382 Amber
Side Indicator ? W5W Caplet/Wedge

Rear Canbus?? Bulb
------------------------------------------------
Red Side-Lights ? 207
Red Stop-Lights ? 382
Reversing Lights ? 382
Fog Lights ? 382
Indicator ? 382 Amber
Number Plate ? 272

The idea of this thread is to discover which bulbs can/should be installed where and what not to install or waste your money on!

For me, I would recommend avoiding indicators (or turn signals if you're American), unless you buy the resistors to match the load correctly.

Dipped beam is an H7 and looks amazing when using a HID/Xenon
Front Fogs are H11's and I have a HID kit to go on them, will let you know if they're worth doing.

Please chip in and let me know your thoughts and recommendations!
Jason.

Look for posts on LED here, but parking lights aren't on Canbus network.

Default Canbus and non canbus LED's

If a Canbus LED is fitted to a NON Canbus circuit could it cause the CEM to fail?

Hi JasonB, I have been experimenting for weeks now on my 2006 S40 2.0D with LED's. So, I am now done with it. I LED'd the low beams, the foglights and the front parking lights and all of the interior as well as number plate lights. All work very well with no issues except the low beams! They have driven me nuts. Work well and look good but that damn error message on the dashboard is something I cannot live with. I have been through 2 sets of resistors from ebay with no joy at all. I do have my reservations about tucking 2 resistors inside a closed plastic housing which are going to get very hot with no airflow, particularly as the low beams are on constantly. I have left the foglight led's in as they are rarely used and they look amazing, I have also left the parking light led's in, reason being is that at night when you use the yellow remote button to approach your car in the dark they are very bright and illuminate the area around the front and sides of the car very well. I am not really talking about for safety, more like how cool they look. Interestingly, only the low beams seem to have a problem with error messages. The high beams remain as stock halogen for now.
