Default Sooo....where does this spring go?

Yup, it's happened to us all and it happened to me today!

I was disassembling the cassette player in my Volvo 940 as it had a stripped plastic drive gear. So I was taking it carefully apart, taking note of where everything lived...and guess what a spring jumped out of nowhere and I can't for the life of me figure out where it's supposed to go! Attached is a picture of the spring and also a picture of the cassette deck stripped down (the area in red is where I think it jumped out of). Could anyone tell me where it's supposed to go or potentially even be as generous to take the top of an old cassette deck and take a picture of where it lives?

Any help would be much appreciated. All the best

I have now discovered the gear that has stripped is a little plastic one, a reduction gear with 31/13T. Anybody know where I can get a replacement, because it's an odd size the usual places don't seem to have it.

Sorted!

Fortunately I took a picture of the back of the device before disassembling it (forgot to take a picture of the front...learnt my lesson!). Went over it with a fine toothed comb and could just about see where the spring lived (circled in blue in the attachment). From there it wasn't too hard to figure out it's job and which way around it lived
