Road grit and general dirt on inside of rear doors

Good Morning, I am sure this question has been asked before and apologies for asking again. I understand that the issue of road grit and stuff on the inside of the rear doors is a common issue on XC60. Is there a remedy for this i.e. after fitment part to cure the problem. I have used the search feature without success.. Thanks Roy

I had the additional mud guard (part no: 32288517) fitted by the dealer for free and I’ve asked for the same again for my new arrival.
They work a treat and I’m not sure why they’re not factory fitted (more cost to Volvo - I’ve answered my own question)

Absolutely agree with MG14, they’re a must- had them on my last two XC60s. I was amazed the sales mngr knew nothing about them. Got him to supply and fit for nowt.
We live on a muddy lane and they keep all the crap out

Just ordered one from Rufe who gives discount (quote C3) and well commended on this forum as a genuine volvo parts supplier. ~£24 plus postage 01792790066. Postage becomes a smaller proportion of the total if you order consumables such as filters at the same time; depends if you do your own servicing or not.

Thanks for your replies. I have ordered the mud protectors from my local main dealer...£28.00 including vat... guess what i will be fitting this weekend. Cheers Roy

Just fitted the rear door mud deflectors and yes it is an improvement but it doesn't stop all the mud and rain altogether. They took about 15 minutes to fit. Cheers Roy
