V60, D5 215. Average between 42 to 44mpg, mixed local and 24 mile commute to work. Can get 50 mpg on trip to work helped by 50mph average restriction on M3.

Figures from 2WD drive can be (are-) erroneous, 'cos the AWD does increase fuel consumption...
I get 38-39 mpg (the latter with more M25 driving - that doesn't say a lot as it's mostly stop/ start) out of my XC70 MY13.

And i thought i was doing well with 26-27 mpg from my XC70 T6. And that's driving like a tart.
Though it's dropped to nearer 25 recently with the colder weather.
Still loving it.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I've noticed a huger difference between speeds. 50 gets about 50mpg (when its relatively flat), 60 gives about 42, 70 about 35mpg.

It does amuse me that i'm feathering the throttle to get a little more mpg while Micra drivers are flogging the life 0ut of their engines to gain a bit more speed....

I have a 2011 XC70 with the 205ps engine and geartronic. I have done 6000 miles in it since August, a chunk has been motorway (normally at an indicated 75 with cruise on if possible), some has been short journeys and there have been a few trips into central London out of rush hour and on M25 in rush hour.

My average since collecting has been 37mpg per the OBC. It sometimes goes up a little if I have a nice long straight run on the motorway and take it steady but if you expect 40 or less you wont be disappointed.
