Noticed yesterday that they are pulsing on and off when pulling the stalk, like half a second on then off rhythmically.

Now, I can’t remember if that’s normal or if the pump stays on continuously when the stalk is pulled. The water is flowing fine, (in pulses) and there is no low level indication.

Hmmmm...thanks

Could be just synchronising with the wiper movement.
What does the manual say?

On mine it delivers a 'shot' of screen cleaner and wipes the screen. To get another one, from what I can tell, you have to wait for the cycle to finish and pull it again (or hold it on, haven't tried that).

Seems pretty efficient. Better than those cars that soak their own windscreen and the one of the car behind at the same time anyway...

It sprays into the wipers - water flows when you are holding the stalk as with any other car (there are two high pressure shots onto the headlights as well unless the level is low in which case it’s only one shot - those only happen once - I don’t know when it repeats them again) - low level will show a warning on screen. Very efficient and it’s never going to tick off people following you due to spray over the top of your car. If in pedestrianised area do be careful with first spray that will clean headlights in case pedestrians are nearby as it can upset them (very sudden and can generate some spray to the side)

Should be on continuously? Perhaps a blockage?

Yes...I think it should be continuous, like every other car I’ve owned (or driven, come to mention it)

The rhythmical on off pulses are the odd thing, doesn’t appear to be struggling. I will investigate

No it should not be continuous. It only sprays water as the wipers sweep from left to right [on right hand drive cars]. It works brilliantly and is very economical with fluid.

Please read the manual which is conveniently located on your smartphone [maybe] and on the Sensus screen for confirmation. In common parlance, RTFM ;-)

Best wash and dry I have ever had. Brilliant, design and glass both.

I have a problem too with the windscreen wiper washing. Mine only releases water from the passenger side wiper meaning the lower driver's side never washes at all. I suspect a trip back to the dealer is in order unless someone is able to suggest an easy fix?!? I have had the bonnet up and looked for loose or missing connections but everything looks ok to my (untrained) eye.

My car was delivered in March 2016 and the wipers used to get a continuous run of water when holding the stalk. The car was also constantly running out of fluid. One of the early software updates delivered the pulsing of the pump and the screen cleans just as well and the fluid lasts longer.
