Default V70 suspension

Hello,
I have a 1998 V70 'summum' (at least that's what it's called in France where I live) on which the ride seems to be getting harder all the time. And my most important passenger has developed a back problem. Anybody have any recommendations as to how to make the suspension more comfortable? A block of foam helps but there must be a better method? Thanks in advance!

As the suspension wears on a car the ride should get softer! Check all the suspension components are OK eg top strut mounts, broken springs etc.
Our cars do have quite a hard ride stock. Fitting higher profile tyres possibly with smaller wheels maybe your only option. You are not the first person here with this complaint.

I dropped the tyre pressures from 36 (front) and 32 (rear) as recommended by Volvo to 30 all round and it made a huge difference. (Not sure how to translate that into metric but hope you get my drift.) I don't suppose the tyres will last as long but I'd replaced all 4 springs & shockers and no other fault was found in the suspension ...

I also set the pressures to 30 psi. 36psi is way too hard for me
