Headlamp Washers on 850 AWD
Hi folks,
Plenty of water in the tank, headlamp wipers going beautifully but zilch water coming out of the wiper jets. The windscreen washer water is AOK (front and rear). I've traced the rubber tubing as far as my thick wrists will allow behind the radiator grille and they all seem to be connected. . . . . any thoughts? Thanks in anticipation, BigG Warrington |

There is a non-return valve under the damping material on the bonnet, could be blocked or faulty.

Hi Richard,
yeah, that's the one for the windscreen washers, isn't it? They are all OK, it's just the headlamp washers that are US. Sorry if I've misunderstood your reply and thanks for taking the trouble. Cheers Geoff |

RE: Headlamp Washers on 850 AWD
Geoff,
I had the exact same problem, there is a T valve tucked in between the drivers side headlamp and the rad, on mine it was all crusty and blocked. I had to remove the headlamp wiper arm and trim to get to unclip it, prised it apart and the rubber washer was well and truly b*ggered, borrowed a small piece of the wifes washing up gloves to replace it with and hey presto clean headlights!! Hope this helps M@ |
