1800s 1967 spares please
Hi, ive had my p1800 since i was 18 - (26 years ago) and i still need parts to finish her properly. pls help.
i need... screws for the chrome door plates, screws and washers for the internal door trim, accelerator pedal screws, a coin tray and holder, the screwdrivers for the tool kit and also the vent window retaining clip. (it has a bolt that runs through it to tighten the window) and finally - a blanking plate for the radio or does anyone know what radio (believe Blaupunkt) model was in an Aug 1967 model? also...time for a new carpet - need it to be as spot on as possible. Any suggestions? Is it Simon? She is by no means a show stopper but at least all the parts will be in the right place. |

Hi, for the UK market I think it should be a Blaupunkt 'Hamburg'.

Radios were dealer fitted if the buyer wanted one. A Blaupunkt Hamburg would have been possible but were expensive and had a very limited number of sellers in the UK. Yes it did have VHF-FM but even this was patchy for reception in many areas of the UK. More common fittings were Radiomobile and Motorola with medium and long wave. Any 2 spindle radio of the period will fit the holes and will look "correct". Conversions, expensive, to these can give you FM and MP3 player inputs. A smart looking, working, Radiomobile 80 can be found from about £30. Less if you're lucky but more from a dealer.
Blaupunkt Frankfurts, mono or stereo are popular and the earlier chrome facias will make them look a bit more 60's. Volvo badged versions of these were used in the 140 models in the UK. |
