Default Water in Rear Passenger Footwell

Help! New to me 2008 XC60 D5 SE Lux has a significant amount of water in the rear footwell. It appears to be coming from the Air Vents that are under the drivers and passenger front seats. Has anyone any idea where this water is coming from and how I can fix it? Door and boot seals appear to be in good condition and there isn't a sunroof. Thanks in anticipation.

Check the windscreen at the top for not being bonded, see thread above for details, common problem.

Many thanks, I do have a windscreen bondage issue, a few rivulets of water running down the inside of the windscreen. This is due to be repaired in the next couple of days, however, I'm unsure how the water is getting to the rear footwell, it seems to be coming form the air vent under the front seats.

Water could be getting to air system from the windscreen leak and driving will cause it to go backwards and it will then appear in the rear floor

Hi there. Newbie here with a 17 plate R Design Nav. I'm like Poth - damp carpet in the rear passenger footwell behind the driver's seat. It's the only footwell that's affected. It's not sloshing about (as far as I can see!). It doesn't feel damp near the air vent under the driver's seat, only where a passenger's heels would be, and more towards the middle of the car. No sun roof, no apparent windscreen issue - I'm aware there's a long thread about that
Any ideas? Many thanks

Brought up a couple of days ago, if you use those frost protectors that fit the front screen by means of being trapping in the front doors, they can if left in place allow an amount of water to enter the car. Just a thought/one possible explanation.

All i'll say is get it sorted.. see my thread and problems. the last thing you want is to end up like me! I hear water ingress can trickely down to the CEM and cause havoc.
