Just a look over by the dealer to make sure nothing is falling off. When I booked it in - they said I could have it done any time in the first year so it doesn't seem time critical.

As for the service, I'll bring my car back to the dealer where I got the car and if presented with an invoice and I will just refer back to the agreement and the sales person. Easy.
And you shall be free to leave the premises without dipping into your wallet! I promise.

Your dealer should make reference to 3 years servicing on your order form, this is a contract therefore is all you need, I don't think anybody needs worry unduly though they ar registered on Volvos System.

Also check with your dealer about the corporate option.
When I ordered ours the dealer asked me which company I worked for and apparently it has some arrangement with Volvo Australia.
In nut shell he extended the three year free service/roadside assistance to five years for free! ^ ^

Final followup:

My dealer did not have it on the invoice as he said it was free so no need to detail it. Anyway, I emailed Volvo UK twice (didn't reply to my first contact) - they confirmed that Volvo Warranty Administration did not have any details of my car.

Contacted the salesperson, and after a bit of chasing I got a reference number for my 3 years servicing registration. I contacted VWA to double check and they confirmed that the paperwork/application was put through on the 5 November (I picked my car up at the end of September - maybe the dealer needed a bit of prodding?). Should be getting some paper work from VWA in the next couple of weeks.
