Naah, I get that, wouldnt suspect them loading Merc software to your ECU :P But Im non less confused by their response anyway - so they suggest updating the GDL module (aka "ballast"?) software/firmware to make it work? Is that even possible (I mean do OEM ballasts have programmable chips??)
Keep us updated on this, interested how its sorted (and of course fingers crossed you get to the bottom of it !)

I'm curious about which warning came up to tell you had a fault?. Did you have a Message telling you of the light problem, or was it the engine management warning light ?, as you are quoting CEM codes.
I only had the message on dash, and I'm almost sure that there wasn't a code stored ! as no engine light came on. I know I have a cheapo reader, but thought it only stores serious problems. Where are you getting the code from ?

Default Low Beam issue

Hi I have an issue with my low beams not working I hope someone may be able to help !!

Last week the car lost all power so I thought I’d check the battery connections which seemed ok . Inadvertently I knocked the box below and the power came back . Since then the car has lost power twice and now both low beams have failed and still not working after replacing them. No error message coming up as well now. All other lights are fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
