Default 1995 960 Mot Failure - Spares or Repair!

Very sadly, my 960 Estate has failed its MOT on more points than I have the time, money, knowledge or facilities to repair. We have also decided that we just don't need a huge estate anymore, so time to go!

I'll put up-to-date photos on later, but for now here are the details:

MOT Fail points:
Nearside rear Shock serious fluid leak
Offside front brake hose twisted
Battery tray corroded, battery insecure
Nearside rear subframe mount excessive corrosion
Nearside outer Driveshaft gaiter damaged
Both rear anti-roll bar rubber bushes excessive movement
Fouling on o/s/r Shock
Handbrake no reserve travel
Handbrake below efficiency

MOT Advisorys
Both rear brake hoses slightly deteriorated
Vehicle structure has slight corrosion
Windscreen damage
o/s/r Drive shaft gaiter
offside inner rear subframe mounting corroded by not excessive

Other things!! (non MOT)
Paintwork damage on bumper corners and bumpers
Creasing to passenger door and front wing
Passenger seat electric fore and aft doesn't work
Wrinkled door cards (of course)
Front seat leather needs a proper clean and is cracked, but not split.

Now I have made it sound like a wreck!! It really isn't, but I want to be honest. It is generally smart and very useable. It still runs and drives beautifully - the engine and gearbox are excellent and smooth. Tyres all replaced in March 2013 done about 2500 miles, Michelin Primacy 3's all round, full size spare alloy. All the "toys" work (except passenger seat as above), ECC is ice cold and boiling hot. New rear light lenses (clear indicators) a month ago. Has dog guard and load cover, original Volvo overmats.

This has been an excellent car for me, and still is great in many ways. I really would like it to go to a Forum/VOC member rather than the scrap man. (N.B - if is does go for scrap I'll take some of the good bits off, but please don't ask about parts now - this ad is ONLY for the whole car!!!).

Current MOT is till 16/12/13. No tax as on Disabled class. It will be on SORN next week.

So what is it worth? About £300?? But open to sensible offers.
PLEASE NOTE the registration "M70 JAA" will NOT be included in the sale - but is available for £150 if you want it!!

Car is in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Drop me a line on here or on 07581 033365.

Go on - save this bloomin great ol' tank, you know you want to!!

Thanks for reading.
