Default Got out of Jail there.... I think

I have posted here requesting information of how to reset self levelling headlights, (manual adjusters maxed out) and no one knows, so I decided to try and be a pioneer .(lol)
The info that I did find suggested a SUM reset would work. So went to a friend and tried a SUM reset.
Everything lit up like a Christmas tree, lots of whirling, clicking and new faults to do with brakes on dash, then an error message on computer screen.
PANIC set in (in spades) thought car was a mess.

However an rechecking the trouble codes only about 6 new codes appeared and we were able to clear them all.

We think problem may have been trying to reset a SUM with the wrong version as we think there have been several versions of this software.

Suspect may well have to visit dearler to get them to reset headlights.

Live and learn

Cheers

Bob
