Default Volvo 760 Estate 1989 V6 2.8

I have been living in Spain for the past 5 years and using this Volvo every day. I no longer have use for it in Spain but it is too good to take to the breakers.

It is Spanish registered but I have the original lamps. I plan to export it from Spain and drive it to the UK where it will need importing to get a UK number plate but because it is a UK car it will be a simple matter.

I would like to donate the car to an interested VOC Member who hopefully would look after it like I have done since we bought it in 1996. Only two owners!

Is anyone interested?

Hi
As will all cars for sale or otherwise a few pictures and details might get some interest.
Biggest problems with the older ones is probably rust and that the V6 might not be as desirable to some but it all depends on condition and history.
I'm interested in anything but doubt I will be allowed to have it !

hello,

I am very interested in having/buying the continental headlights.

please remember me.

I used to have a 760 gle and i loved it.
bought it for 250 gbp and drove 50.000 miles with it.

best pleasure was doing 220 km(135mph) in germany in nighttime

Well this one has no rust. Is a fully loaded GLE. Automatic, leather, Sunshine roof, electric windows. Does 80mph all day at 2,900rpm and 28mpg. 170 hp engine has been on fully synthetic all ts life which is 173,000 miles. Uses no oil. Passed the Spanish MOT with no faults.

It sounds a very nice car, what colour is at as that could make a difference.
I would suggest adding some contact details and possibly putting the advert in the model specific for sale section.
I don't know if the Spanish MOT is valid in the UK and how long it lasts for so someone else may ask.
I think most people expect an ebay style advert with all the info and lots of pictures now.
Let us know what you intend doing and hopefully someone will give it a good home.

Hi Bournemouth,

A warm welcome to the forum! Your car and it's history sound very interesting. I won't be taking it on personally, but I'm sure a caring new owner can be found, whether Steve has it or one of our other members.

Please don't be put off by the last few posts on your thread. I doubt that they've given you a good impression of the forum, as a newcomer, but this is really not typical of how we normally behave on here, honest!

It would be good to see some photos of the car. If you need help posting them, just ask.

Best wishes

John

Hi, Thanks for your comment. I have one picture when the car was still in the UK from which you can see the colour and general condition. In 5 years it has done less than 2,000 miles but because of the climate there is no rust. The car is very roadworthy and I have no concerns about driving the car back the 1,000 miles to Bournemouth where it came from. I plan to leave the car somewhere convenient and fly back to Spain. I dont want to leave it in a breakers yard.
