C70 '06 door lock module connector
This car suffers from a frequent 'passenger door locked and can't be unlocked' event: that is, unresponsive to the fob, the metal key, or the interior release handle*.
Before handing over to a dealer to replace anything and everything at huge expense, I thought I'd try cleaning the lock module's push-on connector block (I assume there is one). Anyone any idea whether that's do-able without dismantling the entire door? I'm ok with removing the interior panel: it's just the location of the lock mech and wiring connector. Anyone know if it's reachable, having removed the interior panel? [*I have actually managed to get the door to unlock. On the supposition the C70 had its computerised knickers in a twist, it seemed to me that the old-school approach might work: switch it off and back on again. Disconnected the battery, left it 5m, reconnected, and door opens again.] |
