Yes there a couple of different part numbers depending on your chasis number:

Cruise:

Model - From (Chasis) To - Part Number

S40/V50 - 000001 - 149999 = 30710722 (old 8637471)
S40 - 150000 - 507951 = 30739638
V50 - 150000 - 564139 = 30739638
S40 - 507952 - onwards = 31313949
V50 - 564940 - onwards = 31313949

Audio:

Model - From (Chasis) To - Part Number

S40 - 000001 - 249999 = 30710725
V50 - 000001 - 269999 = 30710725
S40 - 250000 - 508264 = 30739641
V50 - 270000 - 564914 = 30739641
S40 - 508265 - onwards = 31313950
V50 - 564915 - onwards = 31313950

Audio with Carphone:

Model - From (Chasis) To - Part Number

S40/V50 - 000001 - 149999 = 30710724 (old 8682867)
S40 - 150000 - 508216 = 30739640
V50 - 150000 - 564800 = 30739640
S40 - 508217 - onwards = 31313951
V50 - 564801 - onwards = 31313951

Switch RTI:

Model - From (Chasis) To - Part Number

ALL - ALL - ALL = 30710727

Dummy Cruise (Blank):

ALL - ALL - ALL = 30710723

Dummy Audio (Blank):

ALL - ALL - ALL = 30710726

Wow thanks for all the helpful advice guys, very good responses. Any ideas where is best to get them from? Main dealer the only option? I am laid up after an op at the moment so have the option to look around a bit. Was looking at changing whole steering wheel to a sportier one with both blocks I think. Is cruise very expensive to get software from stealer for?
Thanks for all the help so far.

That for just the cruise block I'm presuming? Software update must be much more than that knowing what dealers are like??

Hi. I have found an audio control block to put in my steering wheel but would like some pointers on what to do to put it in.

In the post above, it says its easy (sounds good to me) but the airbag needs disconnecting.

Before I go and upset the electrics in my car, can someone give me a brief idiots guide to installing this part?

Thanks in advance

Most important: REMOVE THE BATTERY POLES!!!! And then wait 5 minutes! Before further work! This is VERY important!

This instruction from Volvo is an easy way to do it:

http://accessories.volvocars.com/Acc...267-1/C30_2011

Or as a PDF:
http://accessories.volvocars.com/Acc...ear=C30%202011

Yes, it is for a C30, but the airbag removal and fitting etc. is exactly the same!

If you want to post an email address I'll send you a picture guide, otherwise you can make do with the attached Volvo instructions.

It is very easy to, just ensure you DO read the instructions and leave the car at least the 5min (I suggest a slighly longer 10min wait) after disconnecting battery. Beyond this the instructions are pretty good.

Could I be cheeky too and ask for a copy of the photos to martcoug@gmail.com ?

I've managed to get both controls for my v50.

Has anyone had any quotes for the cruise software?

Thanks in advance!!
