Default Heated seats

Hi all again,

Sorry I just bought my car and just wanted to get all work done before warranty runs out.

Right my front heated seats to me don't seem to working as they should. First off the driver side does get hoy at front of the seat but not the bum area and also how hot should it be. I think quite hot considering there is the settings. Next my passenger side does not seem to work at all or if it is it's not hot at all.

Your thoughts on this guys would be appreciated.

Thanks

My driver and passenger seats get toasty warm on 2nd setting, pleasantly warm on first setting and I don't use the 3rd setting as it is too hot - I sometimes feel that you could cook your breakfast on the seats when my wife has been driving as she like a really warm bum

Volvo heated seats seem to have some intelligence linked into them. On a warm day they have very little heat output on any setting. When it is cold, they can get very warm. I think it is also linked to the climate control settings. Personally I prefer a simple 'analogue' heat control like I had on my 1997 Passat.

Only place you are going to get Volvo ones are from the Volvo dealer - I put aftermarket into my Landrover which cost me around £40 from eBay - but either way it means taking the seats to bit to do it properly - easy on a real landrover, not so easy on an XC60
