can't get rid of Ad Blue warning light
Hi All
I am the happy owner of the XC60 D4 2019 which I took possession of in November 2018. For the first time yesterday, the Ad-Blue warning light came on. I bought a 10L tank at a BP station and filled it up. However when I turn on the car, the warning light still appears to say I need to fill the ad-blue tank. I checked in the "car status" page and the ad-blue tank does show full. Does anyone know why the warning is not resetting itself? or should I take the car for a spin and it will eventually go off once the engine has run for a while? Thanks |

It is a known issue, I had an XC90 loan car while mine was in for power pulse hose or some other work and it had the Ad-blue light on, (not having it on my XC90 I thought it was a low fuel light and puzzled as it still had over a 1/4 tank off diesel)
When I returned it I told the service manager about it and he told me it was the Ad-blue light and said it had already been filled up, he said they have had a few cases of this happening. Others on here have also reported it, I am not sure if the light will reset itself eventually or if a visit to dealer is required.

Mine needed a dealership visit to fix. From what I gathered from the service manager, it needed resetting and then taking on a 30 mile journey.

When did Adblue become part of the diesel mix for Volvo engines? I know it's to help reduce the NOx emissions. Just wondering as I drive a 2015 Volvo.
Cheers |

Should have been introduced long before. I know commercial diesel vehicles had been using it for a while. If it helps to make emissions cleaner then I'm all for it.
