Default C70 Door Mirror

Hi All,

I smashed a door mirror so replaced it with a eBay item but I need to paint it. Is there an easy way to get to rear cover off/can anyone tell me how to remove it?

Also, the replacement doesn’t fold. Do they all? The old one did.

Thanks

J

The cover should pop off if you carefully pry it with some trim tools. As for folding, it sounds like you bought a mirror that's only manual fold. There's a few different types of mirrors ranging from heated with manual fold, heated with auto fold and just bog standard manual fold.

It all depends on what your car came with from factory, best way to avoid getting caught out in the future is to check the part number on the part you want/need to replace and then match it same for same.
