USB Power Ignition

Hiya ☺️

Does anyone know if the USB socket in the arm rest of the S60 2015 model turns off when the ignition goes off?

I want to have something connected to it and always charging but only when the ignition is on, and it stop charging when the ignition is off.

My 2012 XC60 has a usb in centre / rear section which goes dead as the vehicle is turned off.

Odd, I remembered the device I wanted to leave connected to USB had LED indicators on it when plugged in. I connected the device to the USB socket, engine on and it was charging, I turned the engine off and it didn't stop charging the device.

Wonder if it cuts off when the car is off, I'm out and it's locked?

The car goes to sleep about 15 mins after being locked ...

There's definitely a delay in powering down, but it doesn't seem as long as 15 minutes. Admittedly I've not timed it though!

Aha that'll be it then, i didn't want to chance it and wake up to a dead battery. Thanks for the info.
