I'm guessing these tyres exhibit "uneven wear"? Annoyingly, I think I'm going to have to put a new set on which I'll never use!

Well ok - worth a go! They say they don't accept uneven wear but guess it's worth a shot.

When they say uneven wear Id speculate they mean inner/outer/both shoulders or centre of tread to be bald or close-to, those tyres from what I can see in the pics have pretty even wear other than a bit of feathering.
Plus, if pressures have been kept correct and there is uneven wear you can argue that the service dept they have you take it to hasnt maintained vehicle correctly, or have they not stipulated a garage and you have been responsible?

That's a great idea! I just don't want to get stung for exorbitant charges but I guess tyres are a known cost and not subject to London prices or inflated hourly rates. They've done ok out of me...I'll leave as is!

I dont think that the collision damage waiver is going to apply !

It's just I know what lease companies are like!

My car looked a bit like that during Storm Desmond!

they might try to bill you for 4 new tyres when the ones on it are fine. Its just a way of making money. If they do, tell em to prove their case in front of a judge. I bet it ends there.
