Default TCM Vida codes Engine Torque Signal + Throttle/Pedal Signal

Hi,

Got my first DTCs in Transmission Control Module (TCM) after reading my xc90 with vida.

TCM-P171900 Engine Torque Signal
TCM-P193B00 Throttle/Pedal Signal

These are new, have erased all few weeks ago. Car does seem sluggish to accelerate,.

Has anyone experienced these codes? What can be at fault?
Can turbo issues also contribute?

Thanks.

Never seen those before (not that I am the most experienced....) what does VIDA suggest as next diagnostic process?

How can I see the next steps in Vida?

I tried clicking on errors, and only extra bit on info was "related CSC" list - are these the next steps? If so, clicking on them did nothing.

As a disclaimer, i am new to vida and still learning.

Has the fault come back after been erased??

If so engine torque is set because TCM recieved an invalid signal from ECM in relation to how much torque it was producing,

Usually set when say its got something it has an issue which as it set a code for throttle pedal aswell looks like that if there is no other codes stored,

A good start when you are not familiar with VIDA is to read the VIDA Help file
http://www.autoscaners.ru/data/volvo...Help-en-GB.pdf

It includes screenshots and tells you what everything means, and how to use VIDA

I can't actually remember in sufficient detail to talk you through it as it's been a few months since I've had to use it but there is a way of getting an explanation, common associated symptoms and further diagnosis. But this is just part of the value of VIDA, it's so much more than a plug in diagnostic.

I'll have a look over the weekend as I need to reset the service reminder on er indoors V50...

Hi Vrunner,

Were you able to correct the issue with the code TCM-P171900 Engine Torque Signal?
I am getting the same code and not sure what to do with it. If you were able to fix it please share. Thanks.
