S60 T5 mk2 fuel tank not venting
I have a problem with my S60 T5 every time I refuel. The pump clicks off after every 6-7 litres and the air is pushed to the engine, so that after filling the tank full the engine has to be turned a few times before the air gets out and the car starts.
Any advice on what to do? |

Surely air would rise to the top of the tank and filler spout, while the fuel would be supplied from the bottom of the tank? If the tank has been allowed to empty it is possible that 'dirt' has been sucked into the feed system.
I would not expect air inlet from the filler tube would be the problem. Can you check the fuel lines for a leak ( air being sucked in somewhere)? |
