Default ETB - bane of my life ... please help :)

Picked up a 2001 v70 for my stepfather that had throttle body issues ... not to worry i think ...doh!

Its the same age, model and engine (albeit manual not auto) as his existing one ... and on a test the etb came back as 82 degrees not the max of 13 .. so it's definitely shot!

However his old one was replaced so I tested that ... 0.3 degrees ...lovely same model number, etc working fine ..popped it in and wow ... tie my kangaroo down boys its leaping all over the shop and cutting out!

Got a maf fault too so swapped that .. still the same ..put the 82 degree one back on .. even worse ...

Old car now gone but have both maf's, both throttle bodies ..

Any ideas welcome !

Thanks all in advance

Resolved ... posting here to complete thread.

New Gasket from volvo, good clean up and a forced reset through dice .. allow couple hundred miles for it to relearn and all good!
