  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default 2.3 for 2.0??????

I have a 91J 940 2.0i with M47 gearbox. eng. code B200F

Can i replace this with a B230 with no modifications?????

I do not think that there are any significant differences, provided you use one with identical fuel and ignition systems and sensors.

Indeed, replacing like for like is the easiest and then it increases in difficulty up until the level where you stick an 850T5R engine in a 144 (has been done). Taking say a 1989 B230F engine and stick that into a car with a 1989 B200F will be the car maintenance equivalent of "Plug and play" whereas the 850T5R engine into a 144 is more like writing binary code.
