Default C70 ETM: urgent!

Please can someone help asap!

I have removed my ETM on my 2001 C70 as per this video:

http://xemodex.com/technologyimproved/video-8644347

and this thread:

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=140805

I have the ETM off but.............it looks like someone has had the starter motor off in the past and replaced it with the ETM cable behind it. I cannot get the plug around the back of the starter motor.

I am going to send the ETM off to a guy who will replace the contacts for me, so I cannot cut the cable. I really don't want to remove the starter motor.

I have tried to remove the cable from the ETM end. I have removed the two screws holding what looks like a connector on that end of the cable but it will not unplug. Can anyone please tell me how to disconnect the ETM end of the cable please?

This is urgent as I need to post it off in an hour or two, so I can get it back by Wednesday.

Thanks!

Sorted it.

Removed the bracket at the back of the starter motor.

Thanks.

Your car had the cable routed correctly, it's up to you but when you put it back in route it in front of the starter motor and simply secure the excess cable with a tywrap so the rad fan can't chop it up! - Makes subsequent removal to clean much easier - Mike
