Default Revs dropping

I have a S60 D5 auto (2003). when im driving at approx 40mph and approx 60 mph my revs drop by 100-200 for a couple of seconds. Feels like a pulling sensation. The engine starts and idles fine. I have no message on computer and no warning lights showing. Has anybody got any ideas what this could be???

Could be lots of things. You could see if there are any DTC's stored. As for an educated guess try changing the fuel filter, cheap, service item that has solved a few problems for other D5 owners.

I have had similar symptoms with my S60 for the last 275000 miles, its still works fine.
I put it down to the gearbox not being fully warmed-up at that part of the journey and not beeing sure whether to lock into 4th (40mph) and 5th (60mph).
There is one stretch of road about 8 miles into my 65 mile commute where it does it for maybe a mile, then its fine.

Might be time to have a look at the colour of the fluid and consider a change.
