I feel in your words a little bit of irony and at the same time, disappointment kinda reproval. I agree. Magic Blue was one of the best colours... that dark blue that gets a more open tone at daylight... unfortunetaly it is gone, along with Inscription Electric Silver. Both great looking colours in my opinion. But some boys i guess know better than us...

What one? Magic Blue or Electric Silver?

🤔 hmmmm... explain more in detail please.

Unless that’s just an excuse and it’s just change for change’s sake.
Despite the slightly higher price, it seems to have been fairly popular and looks classier than regular silver.
You know what... i think it's a problematic colour if you know what i mean... i have no data on that but an inner feeling tells me it's due to complaints... i might be wrong but...

Nevertheless i need to say it's a great colour on the r-design xc60 with dark tinted windows and when washed up, looks terrific, specially at night. At the sunlight it's hard to tell the difference from the bright silver even if you do know the colour. Paying attention you'll see a different "bright silver tone". But at first glance and from some distance... hard to tell.

I take it Glitter Grey wasn't an option?

Nope.

Neither Gary Grey, Glitter Grey, Row Grey or Jimmy Grey were available options at the time.

Had to settle for just plain old Savile Grey.
