Hi Mark,

They look like the right colour to me! I don't have the s****y wood trim at the moment but I'm guessing that won't affect how they fit. Of course getting them to our little island may be interesting as they are much bigger than a couple of switches! What are your thoughts. By the way, I can't private message yet as I'm fairly new to this and the system requires a certain amount of posts etc.

Cheers

André

You just pop your carpety bits in the replacement ones. It seems ok to post switches royal mail but doorcards could well be a different proposition

Let me get switches out at weekend and we can see what postage could be for doorcards. The other option would be for you to collect from somewhere the next time you are on the mainland

Just a thought Mark, what condition are the carpets in in the breaker? Are they the lighter grey colour like the door card inserts?

Might be interested if so but no hurry on them.

Andre - i know tonight Mark has packed a parcel of bits for me, 130cm long and about 7.5kg - bearing in mind it's coming to a UK mainland address, that was about £15 by Parcelfarce who i believe also deliver to the Channel Islands. I'm not sure what the extra cost of getting a parcel that size to there would be but if you check out Parcelforce website, you might get a better idea if it's a possibility.

https://send.parcelforce.com/quick-quote

Use the drop-downs to select sending point, destination, type in the units and get the quote. ^^^^^

To give you both an idea, i just checked on the Parcelfarce website, to send a package 90 x 60 x 20cm, 8kg in weight would be about £31 at the cheapest from my mainland postcode to Guernsey. That's a rough guess based on my estimate of the size/weight of the door cards so although it could be wrong, gives you food for thought.

BTW, you only need 30 posts to be able to send PMs so you should be there soon!

If they're that bad Mark, save your energy for something more productive! Don't mind a bit of light cleaning but they sound as if they'll need heavy duty cleaning with no guarantee they'll come up good after.

Dave,

I've got some very good carpets from a 960 mk2 in that grey. I'll dig them out this weekend and let you know which positions they are.

Thanks Kev - bit confused by something though - you say "what positions they are". Is it not a one piece carpet set for the main passenger compartment?

No Dave, it's in three pieces: front RH, front LH and rear.

Thanks Kev, i should have noticed that as i've had both front seats out at various points of my ownership of this one. That said i was looking for other faults so entirely possible i didn't notice anything.
