Default Gearbox... Not!

So turns out it isnt my gearbox humming thank goodness! It's the water pump, just completed a 250 mile round trip to find the water pump 'hole' leaking. And sure enough after a good listen it does appear to be the source of the hum and only at a certain rpm depending on temperature. Still a little annoying as it's a hepu pump installed by myself approximately 2 years ago tops. Planning to use the sfk pump this time unless anyone has any other suggestions

Fit the SKF pump...you will have no regrets, very similar in spec to the original which would typically last 10 -15 yts, SKF are a Swedish bearing manufacturer which were an original subsidiary of Volvo.
If you went into a Volvo dealer now and ordered a pump it would be a cheap Qeuntin Hazel replacement with a different part number to the original pump.
my SKF pump is still going strong after 4 yrs.....

It was the other way around - Volvo were originally a subsidiary of the Swedish Bearing Company aka SKF when it's translated into Swedish.

That aside, SKF pumps are the only way to go for the redblock, most of the apparently genuine Volvo pumps are cheap Chinese carp these days.
