Volvo 760 GLE. Rear Lights (Tail Lamps) Bulb Covers

Hello all,

I have a Volvo 760 GLE, 1990.

Just discovered my off side reverse light bulb cover has gone awol.

Pictures of right and left light units attached.

Does anyone know if there is a part number for these bulb covers?

I can find part numbers for the whole unit but not just the bulb covers.

I was wondering whether the reverse bulb cover might be interchangeable i.e. does it fit both the right and left light unit?

I realise I could test this theory with mine but thought I’d put it to the Volvo community before having to prise the left one off to test the theory.

Any help/advice much appreciated.

It's an age related thing and can happen I am afraid..

The lenes are separate when made but aren't designed to come out again. The glue (or whatever) gives up the ghost and the individual lens can fall out!!

You can't buy them individually. You need the whole thing unless you can find a lose one somewhere and then replace your missing one with some clear silicone sealant.

The Volvo ones are quite expensive. The only non-oem ones I can recommend from experience are those made by DEPO.

The reverse light lense is the only one you can buy on its own. Should still be available from teh dealer

Given the fact the bottom red lens (tail/stop light) is faded as well on that side, i'd suggest getting a secondhand light cluster. Less likely to look out of place next to your other light cluster and much cheaper too!
I just happen to have a pair of rear light clusters with the orange indicators in good condition skulking in my shed..............
