Default XC60 Central Locking/Door lock - Replacement Spring

Hello, I have a 2016 XC60 with 2 x doors (Drivers and Passenger rear) that on most occasions will not lock or unlock via Keyfob. This is intermittent and i can see the lock indicator on the door moving up/down but not fully only part way.

I have done quite a bit of searching and it looks like the spring with the Door Lock has come off (see pic - coiled spring correctly seated in lock assembly of spring)

I have viewed this and few other vids, as there is movement of the lock indicator, it would suggest the spring rather than the motor.

Does anybody know:

1. where I can purchase the springs (loads on line but none say Volvo
2. How can I find the part number of the Lock assembly - thinking plan B to buy online 2nd hand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

Hi,
Just read your post and wondering whether you have solved your problem? I have (what appears to be) the same problem but just on rear offside door. Bought a replacement door mounted control box but no change. Next to investigate was to be the lock mechanism but waiting for the weather to warm up again before stripping all of the door panels off to get access. I am manually locking by pushing button down every time I lock the car which works but a bit of a hassle, unlocks ok on the key fob.
Thanks

Default XC60 2014 Door Lock Issue (possibly the missing spring)

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue as yourself which is also explained in the below video (which I think you have seen as well). I am planning to strip the door lock and take a look and I was wondering if you managed to buy a spring. I have found a couple of online sellers on eBay so I might try one of those as they look very very similar to the one in the video.

many thanks,
