RUNS ON LPG ONLY

Bigas LPG kit with 110l Stako tank in boot (450 mile range) 12 to 14p per mile depending on how you drive.

Had the Turnip for just over a year and 28000miles. After the first few months I did label him the most unreliable car I have ever owned, and I have owned some s*** cars. However all the bits were fixed and for the last 20000 mile he has run like clockwork, never failed to start and more importantly stop.

He only runs on LPG, as we had a huge backfire, due to a faulty ignition module and my own incompetent tinkering, that blew the airbox out of the car and did for the fuel injection.

I have never bothered fixing the injection as he starts on the LPG after 4 or 5 seconds every time, done this down to -20C on a number of occasions, he does need a few minutes to warm up when its that cold though. The airbox is now held together with gaffer tape.

The LPG was fitted by myself so there is no certificate for it nor is it registered with the DVLA.

He's in fair condition for his age. Has minor scratches and dings. Front seats a bit saggy and interior OK, I have hoovered it and washed it, but not going to valet him.

I have regularly changed the oil and filters.

There are some areas of rust to the front door bottom edges, small areas to the rear wheel arches, along the tailgate slam panel, in the boot storage area and some minor spots to the tailgate. Non of these is to serious as yet so he will probably last another couple of years before scrappie time.

One of the tailgate hinges has snapped and the tailgate is slightly deformed in this area. The tailgate does open and close ok. Tried a new hinge ( Thanks Wobble) but I snapped that as well.

Has big chip in windscreen below rear view mirror, its passed two MOTs like this.

Comes with a hand full of spares including injection relays, ignition modules, LPG filter ,LPG vaporiser service kit, oil filter, stereo ISO adapter ( No Stereo) and Haynes manual.

Has new gas struts to tailgate, had a new clutch last summer. Virgo alloy wheels with almost new tyres with 3-4000 miles on them.

To recap he's 22 years old and shows it in quite a few places. Only runs on LPG, but has done so reliably for the last 20,000miles. Has tax till may and mot till july. Given a couple of days warning I would not hesitate to drive round the world in him (if fitted with new drivers seat).

He's gotta be worth £600 if only in bits.
