Posted in error.
Please ignore. I had the same with my 2001 V70 if it sat all day at work it would almost fire but not start. I changed the plugs and this cured the fault. I think the car had done over 70,000 miles at this time. Sorry I did not notice it was a D5. Sorry silly me.

Cutting out when starting
Dont know if this will be of any help to you as the experience that i have had was with my wifes petrol scenic, but we had what seems to be the exact problem that you are now having. The car would start fine in the morning but once the engine warmed up the car would be almost impossible to start again within say six hours. Stall it and she would be in big trouble. The problem was due to a faulty thermostatic sensor which was telling the fuel management system that the engine was cold therefore supplying too much fuel on every start. Have no idea where to find the sensors so you may need to book it in to rectify the problem.
Hope this helps Nigel |
