Fault codes need to be read to point you in the right direction.
Siren faults are quite common also micro switches in the door locks are a known issue.

Had a similar problem on mine and was tracked back to passenger door not being shut firmly - las used by my wife and i never enter the car on that side for obvious reasons. Alarm kept going off at various times after locking and really started to p.i.s.s. me off.

Was shown up on a diagnostic check by my local indpendant. Opened door, slammed it hard shut and the alarm has never gone off since. i suggest you do this with all doors, plus boot and bonnet - will take 2 mins and might work, you never know.

I had a similar problem with my V70, took it to the dealer they read the codes and changed one of the sensors which seemed okay for a short period then it started going off again so I took it back to the dealers who read the codes and I had to have a new siren. So far so good!

have tried slamming doors, boot, and bonnet, no luck. think i will try taking door sensors next and clean them. got to try these things before giving beer tokens to mr volvo, yes.
