MY21 VOLVO XC90 Changes

Recharge nomenclature for XC90 carline looks like this;
- Volvo XC90 Recharge Plug-in hybrid T8 AWD R-Design
- Volvo XC90 Recharge Plug-in hybrid T8 AWD Inscription
- Volvo XC90 Recharge Plug-in hybrid T8 AWD R-Design Pro
- Volvo XC90 Recharge Plug-in hybrid T8 AWD Inscription Pro

There are no technical changes planned for the B5 (P) and B6 (P) powertrains.
 The T8 Plug-in hybrid is upgraded to full Euro 6d status.
 The B5 (D) powertrain remains unchanged for MY21

To simplify the offer, interior inlays are now included within the main
upholstery code.

Power Folding Rear Headrests are now standard on all variants.

Gearshift Paddles are deleted from all R-Design/R-Design Pro variants. This
feature is no longer available as an option.

Heated Washer Nozzles are now standard on R-Design and Inscription
(previously standard on Pro variants).

Inscription variants now benefit from Perforated and Ventilated Nappa
Upholstery and Power Side Supports.

Inscription Pro and R-Design Pro variants now have Smartphone Integration
and the Harman Kardon Premium Sound audio system as standard.

Wireless/Inductive Mobile Phone Charging is now available as an option.

All R-Design and/or Inscription branding is removed. This includes seat
headrests, treadplates, rear rankmarks and steering wheel.

All R-Design models benefit from a new grille with high gloss black surround.

The windscreen ticket holder is deleted.

The rear 12v power outlet is replaced by two USB Type C sockets.

A new Climate Pack replaces the previous Winter Pack

The Xenium Pack is replaced by the new Lounge Pack.
The audio upgrade packs are now known as Tech Packs.

Osmium Grey #714 and Bursting Blue #720 are deleted for MY21.

Momentum Pro variants are deleted from the offer to simplify the range.

All Volvo cars now limited to 180km/h or 112mph from MY21. Part of our Vision 2020 which aims for ‘no-one to be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo by 2020’.

All vehicles with Keyless Drive now benefit from a motion sensor in the keys to counter relay theft attacks.

From the photos this looks to be in the same place as the inductive charger sold by many third parties that plugs into the forward 12v socket. Is this something that can be fitted to older models or is it hardwired?
