Default Are P1 and P2 brakes the same?

Hi all, just trying to order up new disks and pads for the P2 t4, I found some online, but then I found some that look the exact same to the first ones, same make etc, but they're cheaper, but these ones say they don't fit my car, 96 to mid 2000 according to the listing, surely there's no difference when it comes to front brakes though, at least I don't think there is?

Many thanks in advance.

Front discs come in 256 and 281mm I believe depending on year, I think phase 2 vehicles are the larger of the two but I stand to be corrected as it may be more complex than that alone.

Rears appear to be the same throughout!

Rear disc and pads ar identical from 1996-to 2004.
The very early Phase 1 models from 1996 to August 1997, had the smaller 256mm discs, but from August 1997 to 2004, all cars had the larger 281mm discs and pads

GSF in particular can be rather lazy when it comes to clarity on what part fits what car, on service items like brakes and filters they can be quite different and instead of gaining data from the vehicle you input they just dump the lot on one page and tell you to check yourself.

Euro Car Parts are a bit more helpful but not always, most of the pollen filters they list for mine for example look nothing like what fits, only one type they sell seems to be compatible and that's a Fram branded one with the ribbed plastic edges

Just done my disks and pads all round, found some on ebay for £70 and they seem pretty good. I think they're for a Mitsubishi Carisma, but obviously they fit.

I tried to intervene before they were sent out, messaged the seller yesterday afternoon to say no don't send them because they're wrong, got an automated reply, then this morning another automated message telling me they've been dispatched, wonder if I can just tell the courier to return them to sender?

The incorrect ones arrived, so I booked a slot with Hermes yesterday to return them, meanwhile I'd ordered the right ones from elsewhere, which turned up today, soon after Hermes man had come for the return, the ones I've got are fully coated disks as well, which I've heard of but never used before, hopefully the top mounts I've also ordered come tomorrow and then maybe I can string the fitting out for the rest of the week, good god I'm just so bored.
