First look at 2021 V90
Hi all,
I will be ordering a new V90 rather soon as a lease through work, I have been waiting for the 2021 V90 to come out. Here in Sweden it is now available for order and is in the build tool. Have a play with it yourself here. It's in Swedish of course and packages will be different in the UK but you can get a feel for what's new. I will make some observations here though, my interest is in the inscription level so that is where my focus will be, I will not bother pointing out the more obvious changes: T6 Twin engine is now an option as well as T8, this is the same engine and electric motor combination, the only difference is the petrol engine is tuned to output a bit less. All petrol options are now mild hybrids. No visible tailpipes on any trim level, I assume they're moving to a more electrified image regardless the engine choice. New shape structure to the rear lights, they still have the same outline but have a bit of sculpting Colours: more grey? gone are any of the really vibrant colours, there are not even any vibrant colours for R-design. drive mode selector has been changed, gone is the nice shiny faceted wheel, instead there seems to be some sort of black square dial thing, maybe it's a push and twist type control the scuff plate at the entrance to the boot seems to be all plastic now rather than with metal as before, looks cheaper The interior trim wood is now either grey ash or pitched oak. You don't get to choose this seperately it ocmes with the different seat/interior colours. ask grey pitched oak To get pitched oak you have to have a blonde, maroon or amber seat choice, or the new midnight zink wool seat option. Speaking of interior options, things have changed around quite a bit here, remember i'm focusing on the inscription level, there are other seat options too. First change I notice is that if you want the maroon or amber seats, they are only available in ventilated nappa leather, there are no non-ventillated nappa options now either. There is a new slate grey option for the standard leather and the nappa leather. as well as two wool options Midnight Zink wool Slate Grey wool Slate Grey ventillated nappa That's the rundown of the changes i've noticed so far. There are a whole raft of changes as so how the different packages work but that's unique to each market and i doubt many of you will find the Swedish packages of much interest. |

The front bumper on the inscription is a bit bland; I am sure it improves efficiency but boring. I do like how certain things are standard in your inscription options like laminated windows.

Seems the UK config only lets you choose a T8 for the S90??

The UK config is not updated for the MY21 car yet, its still the current MY20 model which is why there is no T6 Twin Engine option at the moment.

The UK configuration is almost certainly in transition now. I observed that the options for the V90 on the Swedish configuratior started to disappear in the weeks before now.

As has been pointed out already, the UK configurator still shows MY2020 however i do note that T6 twin engine is not a choice for the Swedish S90, only the V90. Last edited by Snoodini; Mar 26th, 2020 at 12:42. |

My Swedish is terrible but I do like the look of that wool interior.
Can you get that as ventilated/cooled or is that for the leather only? |

I can't be sure, but the price of the wool seats being rather less than the ventilated nappa leather, I would think they are not ventilated. It's probably not as necessary in hot weather with wool seats compared to leather. |

The center console storage compartment lid / armrest is also different. It used to be shaped and with a hidden open button, now it's a straight line with a visible button.
In Denmark, laminated glass windows are now standard, used to be an option. |
