Default Rear sway bar bush replacement help

Hello all,

It was an advisory on mot for Rear sway bar bush. VOLVO sells it as whole bar.
CAR IS 2005 xc90, D5244t.
Iam keen to replace the bushing itself.
Has anyone tried or replaced this bushing itself please?
Iam aware that Aftermarket bushings are no good and need to be replaced or greased every year. Also, since the Volvo bushings are galvanised, so it will not move, but aftermarket has no grip to hold on to the sway bar.
Ive never done this job before. Various articles says that this can be doen in situ.
Any advice or link to buy the good quality bushing or how to do it will be very help full.

Thank you.

Are the bushes really that worn ? Rear bar is not usually a concern. Can you try passing the advisory at another place ?

Hi Oragex,
MOT is passed. Just an advisory.

I have a clonking sound in the rear. Thought of buying this one.

Not sure, how to start. I usually do the work on my car from the videos or write ups. Since the bushes are attached to the bar itself. Iam nit sure how difficult to scrape it from the bar.

Other major issue is the lateral movements of the rod it self. Thinking of buying this double end shaft collar. Rod is 23.5mm in diameter. Not sure which one to go with 23mm or 24mm bush.

Any advise will be much helpful. As I don't want to start the work with out clear picture.

Thank
