Default B4194T(2) vs B4194T4

Hello

I have obtained a T4 motor that I am going to use for a swap.

Motor came off a V40, first registered 06.1998

I have tried doing some research on T4 engines and seen multiple people mentioning B4194T and B4194T2, talking about VVT and different types of lifters.
My problem is that my engine is coded B4194T4 but I have not seen this code included in any of those discussions.
Eventually I gave up, decided to post in UK forum, risking some flame for a potentially stupid question. No use to ask in Estonian forum since people here are mostly about 5cyl whiteblocks.

Does anyone know what characteristics does an engine marked with this code feature?

I have noticed statements like "B4194T2 is the holy grail of these". Is my engine rubbish or still something nice?

the T4 bit means it is a lower power version of the B194T engine probably due to your market regulations or poor fuel available there .

What are you fitting it into ?

So far as I can understand it, the b4194t is the phase 1 t4 engine, the only engines coded with a number after the T are the phase 2 engines which are b4204t, t2 t3 t4 and T5, all of which are the 2.0t engine in various guises, the only exception being the b4204t5, which is the t4 engine.

True for the UK cars but B4194T4 is probably for the eastern EU market .. the higher the suffix number the lower the power ..

I am not aware of full history of the car, but paperwork states that in 2010 it was imported to Estonia from Switzerland.
It also reveals the B4194T4 engine code which I also saw on the block itself and that the car was a 1998 V40 1.9 automatic, power output 147kw (200hp).
If it was a lower powered model I would be surprised since all the 1.9 T4s I have seen here, are 147kw and I believe that is usual EU standard?

I am fitting it into a 940.

yes 200 bhp is normal for T4 The B4194T4 must be a special emission engine , maybe with air pump ? Will be fun in a 940 :-) But better with a T5 ...or T6 !

Then I will stop worrying, I think it will be okay.

Yes my dream would be a T6 (so it would sound a bit like supra ) but T6 will take me back 600 EUR, a 240 hp T5 will be 450-500 EUR and at my current point of life I am not capable to pay this kind of money, taking into consideration other expenses necessary for the swap.

This T4 I picked up for 150 EUR, almost embarrassing mating it to unicorn-of-the-gearboxes M90 for which I paid 3 times the money...
