240 torslander estate
1993 K 120, 000 miles.
I am very new to Volvo's and am wondering if this would be a good buy if it is in good condition when I see it. It is being sold by a small family run firm in North Yorkshire for £1500.00. Cheers Matt |

See other thread on high mileages. Sounds a good buy as long as it has a proper FSH and has been garaged. Check for incipient rust in all the usual places. Watch for evidence of chronic windscreen leakage.

RE: 240 torslander estate
My first Volvo was one of these. The price sounds about right for a 'minter'. Make sure you get a warranty for that price though I would want a years worth but I suppose 6 months parts & labour would be acceptable. I ran mine from 86,000 up to 134,000 , towed a 5 berth caravan & it never missed a beat. I sold it three years ago now. It is still living locally, see it most weeks out & about.
Enjoy they're great wagons. |
