LPG running rough
Hi people. I have recently purchased a 1993 240 torslanda with LPG conversion. Now the question I have is. Should the engine idle a bit slower than with petrol? It also is backfiring occasionally but only when it is switched onto the LPG. It just seems to be running rough whenever the gas is on. Any help would be great.
Thanks |

RE: LPG running rough
I also have LPG on my 240 est. It shouldnt be running as you mentioned, infact mine appears to run smoother on gas.
By the sounds of it your mixture is wrong, but you can also try changing your spark plugs and leads for good quality ones(i use bosch plugs) and i brought the leads from Euro car parts approx £15.00. If this does not work try speaking to this guy, he is an excellent engineer and really helpfull and approachable.
