Default 1962 Jensen built p1800

Hi all,
As you may guess from my profile name I’m usually found in the more modern 850 forum, however this week an opportunity came up that I just could not resist.
A 1962 Jensen built p1800 came up for sale very close to where I live. It has not been on the road since 1979 and requires a full restoration from scratch. But as a 2 ownwer car with only 40,000 miles since new I believe this is very much worth saving.
So today I took the trailer and bought the car.......( I will try and upload some photos shortly from my phone)
As a newcomer to the p1800 (I know the basics) I’m hoping over the next few years of restoration I may call upon the knowledge of fellow members and hopefully get this car back to the condition which it deserves.
I am hoping to start a thread on here to showcase the full restoration process in time although this will be after September as I have a gul 850 t5-r I’m currently finishing.
Thank you for reading and I’m looking forward to p1800 ownership.
Thanks
Richard (plus mechanic and dad Graham) 😃
