Default Random Hazard warning lights flashing, car locked

Hi I am new here Cumbria/Borders.
I have a 2012 XC60. When I activate the remote lock and the alarm system engages, the hazard warning lights seem to go on and off randomly, no audible alarm just the lights. I have had a Delphi diagnostics read the code.

POT-B108467 Tailgate lock unit.

The thing is the tailgate works as it should, opens and closes correctly, Can anyone offer any advice, main dealer is my absolute last option currently.

Bit odd, as the hazards probably mean the alarm is going off, but that should sound the siren. If you set the alarm with the window open, wait 5 mins and then wave about inside does the siren sound & lights flash then?

The boot can work but the switch may be reporting open falsely intermittently setting off the alarm (but the lack of siren is werid)

Hi, I set the alarm using the fob, walked away from the car, neighbor knocked to say hazards were flashing, I opened the door using the physical key and the audible alarm went off, i unlocked with the fob and then locked again, checked cctv through the night and it randomly went off 4 more times during the night, but no siren

Thats really weird then.

If the hazards go off when driving then maybe the hazards switch?

If not then maybe something to do with the siren module - maybe the BCM thinks its been disconnected and is doing its half of the alarming?

Thumbs up Problem Solved

Carried out tests for Indicators flashing, Found alarm siren stored in fault memory and last cause of alarm due to faulty siren, removed passenger wheel arch and replaced siren.
Total cost = £282.42
Not carried out by dealership but local Volvo specialist, Happy with work and costs
