Tyre recommendations please
Hello I have a 2017 v60 D4 RDesign on 18’s. I need some tyres and keen to look at All Season due to living in North York’s. Has anyone had any good / bad experiences or recommendations you could share please? Thanks Nick

Vredestein Quatrac Pro/Quatrac 5's have never let us down. The Pro's were good enough in the snow in CH to not need chains and the wear in the summer is minimal. Little difference in all seasons (funnily enough!) excellent in the wet although maybe a slightly softer ride in the hottest weather.

+1. Had the original Pirrelli Rosso's which were fine in the dry only. Had two sets of Goodyear Wranglers which were fine but god they droned like a worn wheel bearing once they had a bit of wear. The Cross Climates I can't fault and will definitely be replacing with them again.

Lots of good options these days...
Mich Cross Climates get glowing praise from seemingly everyone who tries them on here, as do the Vredestain and Nokian equivalents. At a slightly lower cost there's the Cooper Discoverer Winter which I run all year round on my XC60 with good wet & dry performance and no issues with wear.

Thanks all for your feedback. Looks like a two horse race between the Michelin’s and Vredestiens. I had the Quadtrac on a Jeep previously which were really good so may look at the Pro’s. I’ve always had two sets of wheels with previous cars for winter and summer including my v70 and s40 but always a pain getting them swapped haha. Thanks again

I've has cross climates on my car for a while and they are great. No issues and great wear rate.
How i look at it. We have them on responder cars, BMW X5s, and all our ambulances. The tyres get a right trashing 24/7 come rain or shine. Work well. Not so well over very muddy football pitches. But then 4.5tone is never going to go down well on that.

Bridgestone all weather tyre scored top in comparative tests last year. Cheaper than Michelin too, my local tyreman says he gets mixed feedback from customers with cross climates. Kleber Quadraxer are good too.
