Finally got the Grom to display MP3 tags and folder names on the HU1205 Turns out the latest Minidisc firmware (v18) isn't compatible with my Grom-USB2, only the later USB2-P and USB3 versions. Installed v13 and it worked first time.

Then the Grom crashed this morning, so I guess I need to experiment with the different firmwares to find the newest one that works.

Went to the breakers with Gatos today and got a replacement caliper for my one with the snapped bleed nipple. Only £12 so preferable to mucking about getting the nipple out of the old one. All fitted and clutch bled also, my thanks to Alex for his help .

And finally got round to refitting my timing/aux belt access cover in the wheelarch, one of those jobs I'd been putting off for the sake of getting the wheel off

Cool

Forgot to put the V40 in the garage last night, so it was rather frosted up this morning. I'm not a scraper, so I used the hot alcohol spray reserved for my Twingo.

I hope no Volvo drivers are pushing up the UK statistics, cos the ECU records the air bag deployment time and the phone company records can be used to show driver negligence in a bad case. Not sure of the current insurance status, but it won't invalidate the policy, just make your company responsible in some cases where they can get a court order for the phone records OR the other drivers dash cam shows you gabbing!

As far as cost effectiveness goes, we may have to wait until we move over to
Gull Wings.

You can also get the same treatment for sitting in a car even with the handbrake on if the engines running, especially on the motorway.
Last year while on-call at work I had a call whilst on M1, thought I was doing the right thing, pulled onto hard shoulder, handbrake on in neutral and had a copper pull up behind to see what the problem was and gave me a bo$$*cking. Had to end the call and get off at the next junction and make the call!

On my third fill up in the T4. Bit strange this time that info centre puts avg MPG at 27.2, but by calculation works out at 26.1! I am still prone to the odd blast. Can't find anyone to have a play.......boring!

I've gone for the cheaper 95RON to see what the difference is with regards to MPG and performance ratings, see whether it's worth the extra 7odd pence extra for the extra 2RONS.

Don't know how it'll affect a T4 but in my 2.0 non-turbo model, its cheaper per mile by about 1.5 pence if I buy 98RON - 95RON may cost less per tank but more per mile.
