I use harry bucklands in Cheltenham, a proper old school breakers where you can take your tools in and pick what you want, just take it to them at the kiosk and pay what they say, usually very good prices.

+1 for Harry Bucklands. I once went there on the way to afternoon tea at the home of a friend of my partner. I got into terrible trouble for getting the slightest smear of oil on some decent clothes and a whole inquisition about why I felt it was appropriate to stop at a scrapyard on the way to her friend’s. It didn’t seem to cut much ice that it was remarkably little oil for having crawled into the back of a scrap 940 to remove some bits of trim.

There used to be loads of breakers near me ( Havant in Hampshire). But they all seem to have sold up and been replaced with housing estates. Even some of the scrap yards have gone, and those that have survived no longer seem to sell parts. I guess I'm now faced with the decision as to whether to restore Cinders ( after I have removed the dizzy, or if I should break it and make loads of money.

Maybe I'll make a walk round video, and see what you guys think of it. I have a bit of afection for it, but there are quite a few cosmetic problems such as body dents, and a cracked rear window. The estate is in much better condition.
