Default Air bag wiring question

The previous owner of my 1991 240 sedan believes that the air bag wiring is disconnected at the connection which is located somewhere behind and above the steering wheel. What I do not know is how to get at the connection. Soes anyone know how much, or what part of the dash/instrument cluster to get at this connection?

Are you based in Tamworth, Staffordshire? Or are you on the other side of the Pond, in New Hampshire, Virginia or Ontario?

I suspect the latter, based on your terminology - truly we are two countries divided by a common language.

The airbag connector is probably accessible once you remove the steering column cover, after noting the radio'ssecurity code and disconnecting the battery. You'll need the Chilton manual for the car to see how to do this.

Alternatively, check on the Turbobricks web-site as there may be something on that which will help you.
