2005 V70 rear wiper motor and info required
Hi Folks,
are the rear wiper motors diferent on an 05 car to say an 01 car? Where's the cheapest place to get a replacement one? I'm told that because my rear wiper arm wont return to it's normal park position it's generally the motor that's at fault Is this the case or would it have more to do with the worm gear on the end? cheers in advance as always.

They would be different.
Up to Chassis number: 310108 they had one type of motor, then chassis number 310109 and later they had a different type of motor. The motors work in opposite directions, though the blade, arm and washer jet are also all different. If your car and the donor car both fall into the same chassis number range as above though they would be the same. This change came into effect somewhere during 2003, so 2003 models could be either type. Simon

Turns out it's the newer version I need. Volvo part number 8667188.
Can't source one other than through Volvo Scantech do a replacement but these are like rocking horse poo! Anyone got any ideas? I've tried fleabay and the usual outlets but to no avail. Thanks in advance.
