I've been out today and got all trh bits so i'll be pressure testing when i get back to work next week. I have alot of gunk around my PCV heater but as it's before the turbo i thought it shouldn't matter. Am i right???

ahh - that's what I thought
Well I found that both of the pipes wern't fully sealed on my PCV heater and that was my vac leak. It needs all of it to be sealed as the vac supply from the inlet manifold to the PCV heater will leak vac/boost around the seal of the PCV heater and out of the other 'big' tube on the PCV heater too. I jublee clipped all my pipes and now NO LEAKS!!! |

A blocked pipe will cause exactly the same problem as a leak......but underfueling, ie too much inlet air.... cheers jod

That's what I thought of first of all, so I replaced the ignition coil, rotor, dizzy cap, leads and two set of plugs one at 0.7mm and the other set at 0.6mm all of the bits are genuine Volvo and sadly it has made no difference.

Went to the Halifax meet today and the fault has disappeared off the face of the earth!!!!
Now I'm confused. All i've done in the past day or so is searched with Carb cleaner for the leak and accidentally squirted carb cleaner down the air intake which caused it to stall from tick over but it re-started fine. She went really well today but the only difference is the temperature today has been quite warm. Hmmmm.
